With over 34 years’ experience in the construction industry covering large military / civil engineering, specialist contracting and various engineering and management roles in highway infrastructure services, Scott is widely respected and recognised for his experience within the highway sector.
In his role as Chief Executive, he leads our UK businesses, covering highways maintenance, design, construction, materials production, research and development and consultancy, including key, well-known businesses such as: Ringway, Eurovia, South West Highways, and Jean Lefebvre UK and Board roles in the joint venture companies; Ringway Jacobs, BEAR Scotland and Wight Building Materials.
Scott is particularly passionate about the health, safety and environment of all those involved in highway works in addition to the community and economic benefits that investment in highway infrastructure provides. He is particularly keen to champion a step change in working processes, leading best practice in safety, innovation, inclusion and sustainability – as a member of the “La Fabrique de la Cite” Trust he is part of shaping the future needs of urban infrastructure and brings together knowledge from North America, Europe and the Far East through this forum.
