Phil is Managing Director of Balfour Beatty’s Highways Business and is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction and delivery of all major Highways scheme throughout the UK. With a background in civil and structural engineering, Phil started out as a graduate engineer and now has more than 25 years’ experience spanning various parts of the industry.
Phil gained valuable management experience working across large, complex multi-disciplinary highways schemes including the M25 widening J12-15, A3 Hindhead Tunnels and M3 J2-4a Smart Motorways Project.
As the Managing Director of Balfour Beatty Highways business, he has led the transformation of the business and its more than 2,000 employees to be a customer, supplier and stakeholder centric organisation.
