Paul has been managing director of Tarmac’s Contracting business since 2004 and is a member of Tarmac’s executive committee. The business is the UK’s leading provider of road surfacing and highways maintenance services and includes a specialist road planing and traffic management capability, as well as regional civil engineering and construction, trading as Griffiths and Riney.
Paul is responsible for a business portfolio that has an annual turnover approaching £1bn with over 3 million tonnes of asphalt laid on the UK road network annually.
A Civil Engineer, Paul has over 38 years’ experience in construction, heavy building materials and highways maintenance. His career began as a site agent on major road projects and has since spanned a range of leadership roles both in the UK and across the Middle East.
He a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation and Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying.
